The Operations Directorate (OPS)
The European Investment Bank’s Operations Directorate (OPS) is responsible for the origination, structuring and financing projects in the European Union, in line with priorities defined by EU Member States (the Bank’s shareholders). These are laid down in an annual Operational Plan that details the EIB’s public policy goals (infrastructure, the environment, small businesses, innovation, plus two transversal goals: climate action and cohesion). The EIB takes diversity seriously, both in its internal organisation and in its financing operations. An EIB Group Gender Action Plan provides a roadmap to the implementation of the EIB Group Strategy on Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment.
